Interview - the Last Question

Any Question
It is almost customary for the interviwers to ask toward the end of the interview : ‘Do you have something to ask?’ This opportunity should be grabbed and availed to the maximum. The questions that can be asked about can pertain to salary and other benefits if the organisation has not stated it specifically in the advertisement and has not been discussed in the previous stages of the interview. The other fields about which a question can be asked about are personal habits and hobbies such as “Are there any chances of I being given study leave?”; “Do sports facilities exist?” A question which can be clever enough in asking, “What will be my first year’s target?” It serves the dual purpose. It shows the candidate’s keen desire to join the organisation while remaining in the seat of the candidate.
Remember, declining to ask a question at this stage only brings out indifferent attitude of the candidate. Also, a candidate should beware not to ask a question which he is supposed to know from the advertisement or from other sources before reaching the stage of interview. Also, a candidate should not ask a question that can put his own selection in jeopardy. Such questions are on the shortcomings of an organisation which have come to the surface in the media. Besides, avoid any personal questions.
