Distinction between Pronoun and Adjective

Some Pronouns and Adjectives function about the same, but they have different usages. The chief difference is that Pronouns have some words before the Nouns, while Adjectives are immediately followed by Nouns.  Let us look at some of them :
1. Demonstrative Pronouns and Demonstrative Adjectives are the same words, but they are used differently. The former have other words between them and Nouns; while the latter are directly followed by Nouns :
Demonstrative Pronouns
Demonstrative Adjectives
This was his money.
Those are all my friends.
That is not your number.
These are costly curtains.
This money was his.
Those friends are all my neighbours too.
Is that number yours?
These curtains are costly.

2. Interrogative Pronouns and Interrogative Adjectives too are same words, but they are used differently. The former have other words between them and the Noun, while the latter are directly followed by the Noun :
Interrogative Pronouns
Interrogative Adjectives
Which was India's map?
Whose were those sticks?
Which map was India's?
Whose sticks were those?

3. Students often confuse between Possessive Adjectives and Personal Pronouns. Look at the following carefully :

Possessive Adjectives
Personal Pronouns Used in Possessive Case
my, our, your, his, her, their, its
mine, ours, yours, hers, his, theirs, its
I brought my box with me.
This dog is beautiful because of its tail.
But where is yours?
This photograph shows a tail, and it is its.
