Career and Intelligence

Each individual is unique in himself; it depends on his unique skills. As he is different from others in the type of intelligence he possesses, he can do one thing better than others, but it may not be true as far as other things may be related. Therefore, an individual should recognise his unique skills and abilities before choosing a field for himself.
Here is an analysis of different types of intelligence. It will help you to recognise yourself :
Visual Intelligence
If you are inclined to think in pictures, create mental images to remember things, look at maps, charts, pictures, videos and movies, then you are good at puzzle building, reading, writing, understanding maps, charts and graphs, a sense of direction, sketching, painting, fixing or making objects, understanding pictures. These skills can open your career in the field of being a/an navigator, sculptor, artist, inventor, architect, interior designer, mechanic, engineer etc.
Verbal Intelligence
If you are more skilled in the use of words and language, that is, you speak and think in words rather than pictures, then you are good at many activities which include speaking, writing, story telling, listening, explaining, teaching, using humour, understanding the meaning of words, remembering information, convincing someone of your point of view. These skills can lead you to the fields of becoming a poet, journalist, writer, teacher, lawyer, politician, translator etc.
Mathematical Intelligence
This intelligence pertains to logic; that is, if you like to use reason, logic and numbers and feel curious about the world around you, and you are inclined to ask a lot of questions and do experiments, then you are good at such skills as problem solving, solving puzzles, experimenting, questioning, thinking about natural events, doing mathematical calculations, working with geometric shapes etc. These skills will lead you to a career as a/an scientist, engineer, computer programmer, researcher, accountant, mathematician etc.
Bodily Intelligence
If you are inclined to control your body movements and handle objects skillfully, you have a good sense of balance and can catch or hit a ball well, and like to dance, and if you like to move around while learning, then you can be good at dancing, physical coordination, sports, crafts, acting, miming, using your hands to create or build and expressing emotions using body. In this case, you can become a/an dancer, athlete, physical education teacher, actor, firefighter, craftsperson etc.
Musical Intelligence
If you like to play and enjoy music, think about sounds, rhythms and patterns, and you like to promptly respond to music, then you are good at singing, whistling, playing musical instruments, recognising tunes, composing music, remembering melodies, understanding the structure and rhythm of music. These skills will lead you to a career as a musician, disc jockey, singer or composer.
Interpersonal Intelligence
If you like to understand others, try to see things from others' point of view, if you are a good organiser and manage others' cooperation, then you are good at listening, understanding others, solving problems, cooperating with groups, communicating and building trust. In such a case, you can seek a career as a counsellor, salesperson, politician, businessperson or teacher.
