Ravan - His Birth Place

  Ravan, the legendary character of the Ramayana, was a great scholar who had studied all the four Vedas.
He is said to have been born at Bisrakh in Greater Noida. These  pictures show his birthplace. He  went on to become the king of Lanka and abducted Sita which resulted into his downfall and death. A place worth a visit, in particular to see the Shivlinga which is octagonal at the bottom .
