Right Word Exercise-8

Sometimes we use certain words without much distinction, as the Verb ‘walk’ in the following sentences. Rewrite the sentences choosing a more accurate Verb from the box using its proper form :

stagger, stomp, tread, stroll, pace, creep
1.He yelled loudly and walked out of the room.
 2. Some people were lazily walking in the garden.
 3. A snake was walking on the ground.
 4. He was completely drunk, he walked out of the bar.
 5. She was anxious and was walking up and down the corridor.
 6. You walked in the tall grass.

Answer : 1. stomped, 2. strolling, 3. creeping, 4. staggered, 5. pacing, 6. treaded.
