Noun - Gender

The Gender signifies whether the Noun is a male, a female, or can be both or is lifeless. So, there are four types of Gender.

Types of Gender

1. Masculine Gender : The Masculine Gender tells about men, boys and other male people, animals or birds; for example : boy, man, prince, king, bull, lion etc.

2. Feminine Gender : The Feminine Gender tells about women, girls and other female people, animals or birds; for example : girl, woman, princess, queen, cow, lioness etc.

3. Common Gender : It tells that the Noun can be either a male or a female; for example : agent, animal, advisor advocate, artist, baby, bird, broker, cadet, child, client, cook, criminal, director, doctor, driver, enemy, farmer, fool, friend, guest, host, infant, judge, lecturer, librarian, manager, musician, neighbour, newsperson, novelist, painter, parent, principal, professor, student, superintendent, teacher etc.

4. Neuter Gender : It tells that a Noun is without life; for example : chair, star, desk, doll, sky, pen, television, refrigerator, road, building, table, window etc.
